About the role

Most of what we build is websites, dashboards and the odd internal tool, and these days a lot of it has some AI inside. Sometimes it's a chat assistant, sometimes a search that actually understands the question, sometimes an automation that saves someone an hour a day.

You'll work on the whole stack. One week that means the React screen a client clicks on, the next it's the Node API behind it or a slow Mongo query nobody wants to touch. We'll also show you how to call an LLM from your own code without burning through the budget, which is harder than it sounds.

What will you work on?

Day to day, you'll build and fix features in MERN apps that clients actually log into. You'll wire in LLM features and small AI agents and then check they behave, which is most of the work, honestly. Some weeks you'll be chasing a slow API or a bug where the frontend and backend disagree. And now and then our growth team needs a little internal tool to kill some boring manual job, so you'll build that too.

Who can apply?

You should be a student or a recent grad, usually from CS or IT, though we don't mind your branch if you can code. You've built at least one project with React and you know a bit of Node. Git shouldn't scare you, and neither should reading someone else's code. If you've got something deployed that we can click on, put the link in the form. It helps more than a long resume.

What do you get?

There's no stipend, so we'll be straight about what you do get. Real work on live projects, direct mentoring from our developers and marketers, and access to premium courses and learning material. At the end there's a certificate and a letter of recommendation, and if you're good, a real shot at a full-time role.

FAQs

Is the MERN stack internship at LaunchPixel paid?

No, it's unpaid. We'd rather you hear that from us now than find out later. What you get instead is real work on live projects, a certificate, a letter of recommendation, and a fair shot at a full-time job if you're good.

How good do I need to be at the MERN stack?

Honestly? Not very. If you've built one or two things with React and Node, apply. The form asks you to rate yourself out of 10, and a 5 is a perfectly fine answer. We'd much rather know where you really are.

Where does the AI part come in?

Pretty much everywhere now. Clients want chat assistants, smarter search and little automations. You'll learn to call LLM APIs from Node, deal with the odd answers they sometimes give, and keep an eye on what each call costs.

Is it remote, and how long does it last?

Fully remote, yes. Patna or Pune, it makes no difference to us. Pick anything from 3 to 6 months when you apply and tell us how many hours a day you can give, and we'll plan your work around that. A laptop and decent internet are all you need.

What happens after I apply?

We read every application ourselves. If yours looks like a fit, someone from our team will call or email you on the details you gave. And we never charge anyone to apply or to intern with us, so if someone asks you for money in our name, it's a scam.
